- New York Fashion Week Fall 2012
Ever since first noticing his lovely dresses during the fall 2011 season I have fallen in love with the Project Runway designer. Siriano brings us his flirty, ultra feminine horror film inspired collection. Yes, that is right, horror films. In yet another collection this season we see deep red hues and a dark feeling to the garments. The makeup was simple and featured a dark lip while the hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. The designs themselves were romantic with cinched waists and elegant sheer sleeves. Juxtaposed there was plenty of leather in the form of tight black skirts and motorcycle jackets. Lastly we see Siriano’s take on the ever trendy cape; anything but vampire like they were either fluffy and sheer or silk.
So now let us take a moment to appreciate some lovely dresses.

- New York Fashion Week Fall 2012
After giving us what I consider to be one of the best collections of the New York Fashion Week spring/summer 2012 season Gurung did not disappoint.
The beginning of the collection is pure darkness achieved through the use of heavy black leather, deep yet vibrant blue hues, and silvery details. The harnesses were carried over from his previous collection while the purple digital prints were replaced with cobalt blue ones. Flirty tunics and mini dresses were paired with perfectly tailored flare legged trousers while a darkened version of his sultry mesh peek-a-boo cocktail dresses made a reappearance. Many of the looks from the first half of the collection were finished off with military visors and slick hair.
The second half of the collection however was ethereal and full of lightness. Yellow tones, gold lame and various shades of creamy whites coated the garments. The collection came together at the end with the star of the spring/summer 2012 campaign, Candice Swanepoel, wearing an over the top ostrich feathered, heavily embroidered sheer tulle gown.
